Job Summary
Perform daily tasks assigned by the work board and supervisor, including filling customer orders, combining shipments by ID, and loading coils and bundles onto trucks. Operate material handling equipment such as order pickers, pallet jacks, and forklifts after completing required inspections and documentation. Scan and pick inventory, verify quantities against scanner instructions, label containers, and confirm entries into the system. Maintain facility cleanliness, execute 6S activities, and ensure accurate inventory levels by resolving discrepancies immediately. Assist Team Member I as needed and contribute to quality improvement initiatives and process changes.
Required Qualifications
- Must have the ability to make necessary transactions in the WMS, on a desktop or with RF gun, along with system trouble shooting pertaining to the said transactions of the job function
- Must be licensed and proficient in numerous material handling equipment including Forklift, Order picker and ride on Pallet Jack
- Must be able to lift and move heavy or bulky items weighing 50 pounds or more
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Valid driver's license
- High School Diploma or equivalent or combination of education and work experience
- 6 – 17 months of related experience
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems
- Knowledge of proper lifting techniques
- Ability to read and understand information presented
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, including forklift, pallet jack, etc
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to pay close attention to detail
- Ability to adhere to the highest standards of quality while continually performing at the highest possible level
- Ability to perform at or above DC individual performance metrics
- Ability to solve problems
- Able to meet physical requirements of the job
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Warehouse Management Systems experience preferred
- Lean experience preferred
