Job Summary
The DC Team Lead assists the DC Operations Manager in overseeing daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with company standards. Responsibilities include facilitating operations, team performance, resolving customer service issues, and enforcing safety and regulatory requirements. The role involves coordinating with corporate operations and sales, participating in projects affecting operations or order fulfillment, supporting facility safety and regulatory compliance (hazardous material storage and reporting to agencies such as EPA/OSHA), and providing day-to-day leadership and orientation to team members to drive KPIs and financial performance. Strong emphasis on leadership, customer relations, communication, and continuous improvement within a warehouse/distribution environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of professional supply chain or warehouse operations experience, preferably within the automotive parts industry
- Proven experience in supervising and leading teams
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with ERP/WMS systems
- Knowledge of logistics, distribution, and/or warehouse management best practices
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
- Proven ability to analyze situations, draw conclusions, and drive continuous improvement
