Job Summary
Execute yard and perimeter patrol routines while operating Target-owned vehicles. Conduct internal and external patrols throughout the property, including stairwells, rooftops, truck yards, and trailers. Respond to security incidents and follow emergency procedures and protocols, including incident notification to building leadership. Manage truck gate operations and visitor management in accordance with best practices. Maintain composure during crisis situations and apply de-escalation tactics. This role supports a safe and secure work environment at a Target supply chain facility by mitigating shortage risks and preventing theft and fraud.
Required Qualifications
- High School degree or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task as well as the ability to respond quickly and remain calm during crisis situations
- Possesses and maintains a valid driver's license for state employed
- Meet any state or local licensure and/or other requirements related to the position
- Ability to prioritize tasks and remain composed in a fast-paced environment, accomplishing multiple tasks within established times independently
- Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including patrols and other routines
- Ability to lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 60 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to operate technology systems with minimal direction after receiving training
- Reliable and prompt attendance necessary
- Ability to be trained and act on de-escalation tactics
- Ability to safely conduct internal and external patrols frequently throughout your shift
- Ability to quickly and safely respond to security incidents in all locations on property including but not limited to stairwells, rooftops, truck yard, mezzanine, on or near automation/technology, and trailers
