Job Summary
In this DC General Warehouse Associate - Equipment Operator I role, you will accurately pick, sort, stage, store, and transport product to assigned locations using RF scanners; build, wrap, label, and organize pallets; maintain inventory integrity and product quality while following standard operating procedures; communicate effectively with teammates and support a team-oriented environment; adhere to safety policies and PPE requirements; and participate in ongoing housekeeping and continuous improvement efforts at Ferguson’s Brookshire, TX distribution center. The position operates Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (shift timing varies by responsibilities), pays $19.50 per hour, and includes benefits such as medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and other perks; employment is contingent on successful pre-employment screening and background checks.
Required Qualifications
- Prior warehouse, distribution, shipping, or receiving experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to safely perform physically demanding work in a warehouse environment
- Experience with RF scanners or willingness to learn RF scanners
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Safety policies and PPE compliance
- Team-oriented communication
- Accurate pick, sort, stage, store, and transport of product
