DC GENERAL MANAGER 2

General Manager II at The Home Depot is responsible for the overall management, planning, organization and execution of day-to-day operations for a large distribution center (500,000 - 1.5+ million square feet) with a budget typically over $40 million, supervising 200-400+ associates and ensuring safe, productive, on-time, damage-free merchandise delivery to stores and customers. The role involves developing strategies, leading a team of managers, driving continuous improvement and efficiency, coordinating with partners across Supply Chain, Operations, Merchandising, Finance, Human Resources and Stores, and maintaining a union-free workplace with strong emphasis on customer service, safety, and key performance indicators. The position requires travel, the ability to relocate if needed, and a demonstrated ability to coach and develop Associates, implement process improvements, and manage financial, operational and service objectives.
