DC Facilities Engineering Specialist

Job Summary
Oversee data centre security, physical access procedures, and IT infrastructure maintenance while identifying and escalating environmental faults. Lead incident management, coordinate 24x7 facility maintenance for a large complex, and manage subcontractors for repairs and installations. Assess WHS hazards, liaise with clients and service providers, and undertake remote hands tasks including cross connections. Prepare monthly reports on environmental conditions and SLA adherence, ensuring all National Access Procedures are followed. This role includes a rostered 12-hour shift pattern with 20% shift allowance and overtime opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Australian Citizens
- Australian Federal Government Security Clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Electrical, Mechanical, BMS qualifications preferred, but not essential
- 2 years previous experience working within a data centre or similar environment
- Understanding of structured cabling systems and cross connections
- Able to work independently and troubleshoot customer issues
- Experience in operational efficiencies and operational process creation and reviews
- Excellent customer service, communication skills and a 'can do' attitude
- Willing to learn new skills in a dynamic environment and ever-changing environment
- Experience with MS 365 environments including excel, word, SharePoint
- Awareness of WHS principles
- Open cable license favourable
