Job Summary
DC Engineer, Field Engineering at The Home Depot focusing on distribution-center process improvement. Responsibilities include conducting time studies, zero-base and rate analyses, network and statistical analyses, and flow-path analyses to support logistics optimization. Identifies opportunities for process improvement through competitive analysis and cross-functional projects; reports to senior operational leaders and develops implementation plans and success metrics. Develops reports and runs ad hoc queries; identifies and develops standard operating procedures to streamline operating processes and training opportunities. Supports Kaizen events and process changes with leadership, leading process-improvement initiatives leveraging Lean-Six Sigma. Provides facility and capacity planning support for distribution and transportation in Logistics. Travel typically 20% to 50% overnight. Requires bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 2 years of work experience; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word) and AutoCAD; strong business analysis, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. For CA, CO, CT, RI, NV, NY (including NYC and Westchester), NY residents, the posted pay range is $70,000.00 - $150,000.00.
