Job Summary
Join the Database Operations Group to process electronic data files through a commercial ETL software package, implement data checks for medical data, perform QA/monitoring functions, and maintain a relational database system and database objects. Reports to the Database Administrator. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Data Science; strong SQL skills; programming/scripting experience; familiarity with Unix/Linux; high proficiency in MS Excel; understanding of complex relational databases; and good verbal/written communication. Based in Amherst, NY with consideration for full-time remote work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or Data Science
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience with computer programming and or scripting languages
- Familiarity with the command-line Unix or Linux environment
- High-level proficiency in MS Excel
- A basic understanding of complex relational databases
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
