Daytime Virtual Foothills Social Worker

Job Summary
Help all students overcome barriers to regular school participation by collaborating with the Student Services team to develop intervention strategies. Conduct virtual small group and individual sessions with students and parents while counseling families on economic struggles, housing, and accessing medical, mental health, or legal services. Track data on agency referrals, McKinney-Vento referrals, and attendance concerns, then generate resource lists and transition plans for hospitalized students. Serve as a liaison between Foothills and public/private agencies, present at virtual staff meetings to build social-emotional capacity, and comply with FERPA requirements. This daytime virtual role (11:00am–4:00pm) requires a Master's degree and valid Georgia social worker certificate.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree or higher
- valid Georgia social worker certificate
- Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders in the virtual instruction program in written and oral form, including electronic media, using positive interpersonal skills
- availability from 11:00am – 4:00pm
