Daytime Reset Merchandiser

Job Summary
Reset and merchandise shelves by working collaboratively with colleagues to align sections to approved planograms. Move, re-stock, or rearrange products on store shelves while operating Kroger equipment safely. Demonstrate teamwork when interacting with Kroger, National Food Brokers, and other P.L. Marketing employees. Communicate merchandising opportunities to supervisors and provide customer assistance. Maintain a high level of teamwork and adapt to changing work structures. Shifts run Monday through Friday from 5am to 2pm, with up to 50% overnight travel possible. Must remain qualified as an insurable driver with excellent driving records. P.L. Marketing, an employee-owned subsidiary of Kroger, assists in the merchandising of corporate brand consumer products since 1989.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Communicate (read, write and speak) fluent English
- Read, understand and implement plan-o-grams
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Computer/internet access with knowledge of email and web-based applications
- Adapt to advancing technology and computer solutions
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team
- Qualify as an insurable driver with excellent driving record
- A smartphone with internet/data access
- Must be able to operate motor vehicle unassisted
- Must be able to remain standing and/or walking unassisted for several hours at a time
- Must be able to lift, push or pull 50 lbs. or more on a regular basis and occasionally up to 70 lbs. continuously
- Must be able to reach up and bend down, reach in all directions, and have unlimited upper body mobility
- Must be able to lift and extend 30 lbs. above the head, sometimes repeatedly
- Must have unlimited manual dexterity
- Must be able to tolerate exposure to extreme temperatures (0-90 degrees)
- Must be available for up to 50% overnight travel
- Must be able to perform essential job function of this position with or without reasonable accommodations
Desired Qualifications
- Retail grocery store experience, especially merchandising experience
- Consumer product company experience with strong merchandising skills
- Broker experience with strong merchandising skills
