Job Summary
The Daytime Lifeguard at the South YMCA is responsible for maintaining safety in the pool area, responding to emergencies, enforcing pool rules, and assisting with swim instruction as needed. Candidates should have the ability to achieve Lifeguard certification, and the position offers part-time hours.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Currently hold or possess the ability to participate in and achieve certification for Lifeguard and First Aid
- Certification must include CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
- Must hold current Lifeguard certification through the YMCA or American Red Cross
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical competency tests required for certification
- Minimum of six months of related lifesaving experience preferred
Additional Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Available Monday-Friday 1p-6p
