Job Summary
Provide care and custodianship to children during a split shift workday, assist in education and toilet training, and handle logistical needs such as changing diapers. Maintain records as required by the state licensing board and demonstrate good judgment in interactions with children. Must maintain emotional control under stress and cope with biological exposure to bacteria and communicable diseases.
Required Qualifications
- College hours, high school diploma or GED
- Ability to speak, understand and write professionally in English
- Ability to work productively without continual supervision
- Mature and sensitive individual that is able to relate well to both children and adults
Desired Qualifications
- Day care experience (preferred)
Additional Requirements
- Must comply with the 24 clock hours of annual training excluding CPR/First Aid Training as required by the state licensing board
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
