Job Summary
Teach and supervise children across ages from infants to school-age in a licensed daycare environment. Create engaging classrooms where children can learn, play, and grow, supporting social and emotional development and fostering a love of learning through Creative Curriculum and Brain Connect programs. Build strong partnerships with families via daily app updates and personal discussions. Ensure a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment and align with program needs. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, EDU119/NCECC certification or AA degree in early childhood education (ECE) or related field, and prior licensed childcare experience. Must be 18+ and able to lift up to 30 lbs; undergo background checks and health assessments. Scheduling is Monday–Friday at The Sunshine House location in Lenoir, NC; salary is $14.00-$18.00 per hour with potential increases based on education, performance, and tenure. The role includes opportunities for professional development and tuition assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- EDU119/NCECC cert. or AA degree in ECE or a related field
- Previous experience working in licensed childcare
- Ability to pass background checks & health assessments
- Passion for working with young children
- At least 18-years-old
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. for child safety and emergencies
