Job Summary
Develop a creative program for specific age groups using storytelling, educational play, and media to teach children. Observe each child to build social competencies and self-esteem, while encouraging interaction and conflict resolution. Guide artistic and practical capabilities through a structured curriculum covering shapes, numbers, and crafts. Organize nap and snack hours, ensuring safety, and track progress to report to parents. Communicate regularly with families regarding children's backgrounds and collaborate with other educators. Maintain a clean, safe classroom consistent with health standards. Lead preschool or assist in infant/toddler care from 8:30 to 5:30.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- 45 DCF hours
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years experience working in a licensed childcare facility
- CDA
- degree in Early Childhood Education
- degree in Elementary Education
