Job Summary
Looking for a Director Qualified Daycare Teacher to create a nurturing environment and oversee effective programming in our on-site childcare center. Responsibilities include implementing lesson plans, supervising staff, managing communication with parents, and ensuring the facility meets emotional and physical needs of the children.
Required Qualifications
- Must be Director Qualified
- Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education
- A minimum of 21 semester hours in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Special Education
- Either a Gateways to Opportunity Level I Illinois Director Credential or 3 semester hours of college credit or training in administration, leadership or management
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of child’s physical, emotional, and developmental patterns
- Sensitivity to individual and group needs of children
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents
- Ability to create an atmosphere of positive and appropriate discipline
