Job Summary
Design and implement daily lesson plans aligned with developmentally appropriate practice and sustainable education principles while leading classroom organization and routines that promote environmental responsibility. Supervise children during learning activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor exploration, serving as a Mandated Reporter to recognize and document any suspected abuse or neglect. Build strong relationships with families through consistent communication, leading conferences and community events to strengthen involvement, and respond to inquiries within 24 hours. Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen classroom systems and coach Assistant Teachers in instructional practices and environmentally responsible routines. Maintain all required certifications, participate in ongoing sustainability-focused training, and ensure zero major safety incidents annually. This role operates year-round, Monday–Friday, 7:00AM-6:00PM.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass required state and company background checks
- Must have a high school diploma, GED, or be enrolled in classes
- EEC teacher certification or requirements completed to be submitted for review (for roles requiring EEC Certification)
- Adhere to all company policies and EEC regulations
- Ability to stand, move, run, and play for most of the day
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times a day
