Job Summary
Daycare Center Cook responsible for overall food preparation for enrolled children, creating home-style, nutritional meal plans within the school menu and budget while adhering to USDA/licensing/health department requirements. Responsibilities include preparing meals/snacks for children and staff, distributing food to classrooms, maintaining inventory and ordering supplies, following the daily menu, and assisting in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater. Requires focus on health and safety and ability to adapt to menu changes; includes a Monday–Friday schedule with full-time compensation options and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility, preferred
- Willingness to learn and adhere to all current state and local regulations
- Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work
