Job Summary
Daycare Center Cook / Food Specialist at La Petite Academy (Overland Park, KS) is responsible for overall food preparation for enrolled children, creating home-style, nutritious meal plans within the school menu and budget, and ensuring compliance with USDA/licensing/health department requirements. Responsibilities include preparing meals/snacks for children and staff, distributing food to classrooms, maintaining inventory and ordering supplies, following the daily menu, and assisting in classrooms as an Assistant Teacher/Floater. Monday through Friday work week; compensation is based on position, education, and experience; part-time role with limited medical benefits and education assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility, preferred.
