Job Summary
Daycamp Site Director role leading on-site day camp programs at YMCA Durham (Sudbury, ON) under the Manager of Day Camps & Community Development. Responsibilities include coordinating activities and events, scheduling staff and volunteers, responding to inquiries, maintaining supplies and equipment, completing incident reports, ensuring safety standards (SAM) are met, building relationships with participants and guardians, and assisting with recruitment and paperwork. Requires OS SD, National Lifeguard certification, Pleasure Craft Operator Card where applicable, at least 1 year supervisory experience, strong communication, computer skills, First Aid/CPR C, and Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector. This is a Full-Time Contract (8 months) position starting as soon as possible, located in Durham, Sudbury, at $19.23/hour with 40 hours per week on-site.
Required Qualifications
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
- National Lifeguard certification (NLS) in good standing
- Pleasure Craft Operator Card (where applicable)
- Minimum of one year supervisory experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced computer skills
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR C
- Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
