Job Summary
Lead the warehouse team by championing a safety-first culture, overseeing inbound receiving and outbound shipping operations, and ensuring accurate order staging and loading. Direct daily productivity and associate engagement through one-on-one coaching, performance reviews, and targeted training on policies and procedures. Manage workforce scheduling, designate dock locations, and maintain facility safety by inspecting for hazards and coordinating equipment repairs. Monitor operational metrics such as mis-picks and productivity reports to drive cost control and address inventory shrinkage. Ensure strict adherence to Master Sanitation Schedules and food safety protocols while building high-performing teams through hiring and retention strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of experience in warehouse distribution
- Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce
- Broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods and procedures
- Strong leadership, communication and people development skills
- Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP and other regulatory requirements
- Ability to interpret financial and operational data
- Basic computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office)
- High school diploma or GED
- 10% travel required, typically for mandatory meetings and/or training
- Must be able to lift 1-10 lbs (Sedentary) occasionally
- Must be able to lift 11-20 lbs (Light) occasionally
- Must be able to lift 21-50 lbs (Medium) occasionally
- Must be able to lift 51-100 lbs (Heavy) occasionally
