Job Summary
Part-Time Direct Support Professional in a Day Habilitation/Day Support Program. Responsibilities include assisting people with disabilities to become independent in activities of daily living, providing personal cares as needed, promoting participation in community activities, and supporting ongoing communication within the team. Must be an eligible driver (RRHSF) with a valid license and a vehicle, reliable, and motivated to teach. Requires dependable, self-directed individuals who attend staff meetings and can engage respectfully with clients and colleagues. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9:30am–3:30pm. Starting wage is $18.00/hour or more DOE. Equal employment opportunity statement included.
Required Qualifications
- Must be an eligible driver for RRHSF (at least 25 years old, valid driver's license, & driven for 5+ years)
- Reliable vehicle
- Motivated to teach
- Be dependable and reliable
- Assist people with disabilities to be independent in their activities of daily living
- Attend staff meetings
- Be able to effectively communicate with team members
- Have a positive attitude and be self-directed
- Comfortable assisting with personal cares
- Possible behaviors (therapeutic intervention training provided) AND should enjoy participating in community activities
