Job Summary
Provide direct support and assistance to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities at VOSAC sites, including activities of daily living, social development, and community inclusion. Ensure program participants become engaged citizens through volunteer work and community service while managing medical needs. Maintain required trainings such as CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, Medicaid Waiver, Human Rights, OSHA, and Van Training. Possess written, communication, and computer skills, plus a valid Virginia driver's license with three years of U.S. driving experience. Work Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm, full-time 40 hours per week in Triangle, Virginia.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in the healthcare services field
- Written, communication and computer skills
- Ability to pass and maintain required trainings such as CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration (MAT), Medicaid Waiver, Human Rights, OSHA and Van Training
- Criminal and Child Protective Services Background investigations conducted for all employees; must meet state of Virginia employment eligibility requirements
- A valid Virginia Driver/s license
- A licensed U.S. driver with a minimum of THREE (3) years driving experience in the United States
- Driving record must meet agency's vehicle insurance carrier requirements
- The ability to attend and pass onsite training classes within the first 30 days of hire
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
