Job Summary
Review assigned routes in advance and drive the street sweeper to complete work on time with attention to quality. Perform required pre- and post-trip inspections, operate specialized equipment safely, and handle materials according to disposal and safety procedures. Immediately report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns and accurately complete required logs and paperwork. Represent the Company professionally while communicating effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients. Maintain regular, predictable attendance and adapt to changing conditions as business needs evolve.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED
- 1 year DOT driving experience
- Driver's License
- DOT Medical Card
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check
- Ability to successfully pass a background check
- Ability to successfully pass a drug screening
- Ability to follow safety procedures
- Ability to conduct inspections
- Ability to operate equipment responsibly
- Ability to comply with all traffic, site, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to plan routes
- Ability to complete work efficiently and accurately
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions
- Ability to maintain consistent, dependable attendance
- Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors and teammates
- Ability to represent the Company professionally
- Ability to promptly report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns
- Ability to work outdoors with regular exposure to weather, elements, and traffic
- Ability to handle occasional exposure to loud noise, dust/debris, and jarring conditions
- Ability to handle limited exposure to chemicals
- Ability to frequently sit and walk/stand
- Ability to occasionally bend, twist, squat, kneel, push/pull
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs at varying heights, including overhead
- Ability to perform continuous reading, screen use, mental focus, and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to operate specialized equipment (e.g., mechanical broom sweeper)
- Ability to use hand controls, foot controls, and fine motor skills
- Ability to use appropriate PPE, including high-visibility apparel, eye, ear, hand, foot, head, lung, and skin protection
