Job Summary
Review assigned routes in advance and complete street sweeping duties on time with attention to quality. Operate the mechanical broom sweeper safely while conducting required pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment readiness. Handle materials according to disposal procedures, report equipment issues or safety concerns immediately, and accurately complete all required logs and paperwork. Adhere to traffic laws, site protocols, and safety procedures while maintaining professional communication with supervisors and clients. Maintain regular attendance and adapt to changing conditions throughout the route.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED
- 1 year DOT driving experience
- CDL-B license
- DOT Medical Card
- At least 21 years of age
- Acceptable driving record
- Successful motor vehicle record (MVR) check
- Successful background check
- Successful drug screening
- Ability to follow safety procedures
- Ability to conduct inspections
- Ability to operate equipment responsibly
- Ability to comply with all traffic, site, and regulatory requirements
- Strong ability to plan routes
- Ability to complete work efficiently and accurately
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions
- Ability to maintain consistent, dependable attendance
- Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors and teammates
- Ability to represent the Company professionally
- Ability to promptly report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs at varying heights, including overhead
- Ability to operate specialized equipment (e.g., mechanical broom sweeper)
- Use of hand controls, foot controls, and fine motor skills
- Ability to wear appropriate PPE, including high-visibility apparel, eye, ear, hand, foot, head, lung, and skin protection
- Ability to work outdoors with regular exposure to weather, elements, and traffic
- Ability to tolerate occasional exposure to loud noise, dust/debris, and jarring conditions
- Ability to tolerate limited exposure to chemicals
- Ability to perform frequent sitting and walking/standing
- Ability to perform occasional bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling
- Ability to perform continuous reading, screen use, mental focus, and hand-eye coordination
- Must be available for minimal travel (1-10%)
