Job Summary
Lead DSP role responsible for assisting in the development and monitoring of individual plans, ensuring accurate documentation (medication administration records, progress notes, and reports), maintaining a safe environment by identifying hazards and maintenance needs for the site and vehicles, and participating in meetings/trainings per regulations. Requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of experience with individuals with disabilities, and a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory MVR. On-site opportunity located in Bloomington, MN with no remote work. Salary starts at $18/hour with a potential increase to $18.50/hour after six months of consistent employment.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree, GED or experience with vulnerable populations required
- Experience and/or training of at least one year with individuals with disabilities required
- Medication administration training when required (may be obtained after hire)
- First Aid training if required and CPR Certificate (may be obtained after hire)
- Mental Health Certification or other related certification may be required (may be obtained after hire)
- Background Study (BGS) clearance is required
- Driver's license required
- MVR with a satisfactory driving record required
- Ability to read, write and use computer required
- Basic math and problem-solving skills required
- Ability to recognize boundaries
- Ability to suggest and implement strategies to enhance the service
- Computer skills that support LSS technology
- Patience, self-control, and flexibility
