Job Summary
Operate cheese making equipment including fillers, casting lines, wrappers, and formers while following Good Manufacturing Practice protocols for PPE and cleanliness. Troubleshoot issues quickly, monitor product quality, and perform machine cleaning and sanitizing after production. Assemble pallets, unwrap barrels, and update the ROSS system. Maintain a safe, organized work area and adhere to all safety and quality guidelines. Work the day shift from 5:30am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday with frequent Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Excellent Math, Reading and Writing skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
- Ability to work independently on assigned duties
- Adaptable to sudden changes and willing to learn new skills
- Dependable member of a team
- Adaptable to work in Cold and Warm environments
- Mechanical aptitude
- Must adhere to and follow all Safety, GMP, other quality guidelines
- Must report all food safety problems to immediate supervisor or designated replacement
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs
- Day Shift 5:30am to 6:00pm Monday – Friday, frequent Saturdays
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of HMI screens, computers and PIT is a plus
