Job Summary
Day Shift Loaf Case Packer/Inspector at Bongards Creameries, based in Humboldt, TN. Responsibilities include inspection of loaf cheese after metal detector, verification of GMP compliance, operating case packing machines, ensuring machines are full of cases, pads and glue, checking product codes, monitoring pouch/box quality, reporting deficiencies, managing downtime, performing sanitation duties, and reporting food safety/quality concerns to supervision. Requires learning operation of case packer machines, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, strong attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety and GMP guidelines. Schedule is Day Shift (5:45am–6:00pm) Monday–Friday with comprehensive benefits including PTO and 401(k).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Strong hand, eye coordination
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
- Ability to work independently on assigned duties
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Be coachable and able to work in a team
- Must be able to lift up to 55lbs
- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions
- Must adhere to and follow all Safety, GMP, and other quality guidelines
- Must report all food safety and quality concerns to immediate supervisor or their designated replacement.
