Job Summary
Direct Support Professional Lead responsible for developing and monitoring individual plans, maintaining records (medication administration records, progress notes), ensuring a safe and secure environment by noting safety hazards and maintenance needs, addressing unsafe situations, maintaining documentation, performing record keeping, and participating in periodic meetings/trainings per regulations. Requires a high school diploma or GED (or experience with vulnerable populations), at least one year of experience with individuals with disabilities, and may require medication administration training, First Aid/CPR after hire, and related certifications; background study clearance, driver’s license and a satisfactory MVR are required; must read/write, use a computer, perform basic math/problem-solving, recognize boundaries, implement strategies to enhance service, and use LSS technology.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree, GED or experience working with vulnerable populations required.
- Experience and/or training of at least one year with individuals with disabilities required.
- Medication administration training when required (may be obtained after hire).
- First Aid training if required and CPR Certificate (may be obtained after hire).
- Mental Health Certification or other related certification may be required (may be obtained after hire).
- Background Study (BGS) clearance is required.
- Driver's license required.
- MVR with a satisfactory driving record required.
- Ability to read, write and use computer required.
- Basic math and problem-solving skills required.
- Ability to recognize boundaries.
- Ability to suggest and implement strategies to enhance the service.
- Computer skills that support LSS technology.
