Job Summary
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation. Provide medication assistance, housekeeping, laundry, shopping, transportation, and companionship as specified in the client's plan of care. Report daily activity through the ClearCare management system and document any unusual behavior or conditions. Practice safety while lifting up to 50 pounds and remain vigilant for changes in client condition. Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA regulations and report suspected abuse or neglect immediately. Ensure timely shift reporting and attendance while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Current Driver's License
- Car with active Insurance
- Ability to lift or push up to 50 pounds
- Demonstrate honesty, accountability and integrity
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written assignments
- Proficiency with Homecare Company Management System--ClearCare
- Maintain an established work schedule
- Effective interpersonal and communications skills including tact and diplomacy
- Effective organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow through
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Maintain confidentiality of work-related information and materials
- Maintain 'Fit for Duty' physical condition
- Reliable Transportation
- 18 Years of Age or Older
- Valid driver's license
- Automobile insurance
Desired Qualifications
- CNA License or alternate experience as a caregiver
- CPR & First Aid Certifications
- Prior experience assisting with ADLs or caring for elderly, disabled and other vulnerable clients
