Job Summary
Operate, monitor, and support automated assembly systems, including robotics, vision systems, conveyors, and work cells. Load and unload components according to standardized work instructions while verifying machine programs, setups, and tooling prior to production start. Respond to machine alarms and stoppages, performing basic troubleshooting and escalating complex issues to technicians or engineering. Conduct in-process inspections to ensure quality standards are met, document defects, and perform basic rework within defined tolerances. Stage, replenish, and scan materials to maintain continuous flow, track components using ERP and MES systems, and maintain 5S standards around automated work cells. Collaborate with Automation Technicians, Process Engineers, and Quality teams to support production flow and provide feedback on system performance. Maintain a safe work environment by complying with EHS requirements and performing routine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read work instructions, visual diagrams, and digital work orders
- Comfortable using computers, tablets, and MES/ERP systems
- Ability to follow multi-step procedures accurately and consistently
- Good communication skills
- Ability to recognize abnormal machine behavior and report issues promptly
- Comfortable standing, lifting, and performing repetitive/precision tasks
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in automated or semi-automated manufacturing
- Familiarity with robotics-assisted or software-controlled production lines
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or robotic systems
- Strong attention to detail
