Job Summary
Oversee day habilitation program activities and staffing: supervise development, implementation, and scheduling of activities for Day Habilitation, potentially oversee Prevocational and Respite Services; ensure individuals receive appropriate day services; supervise staff, provide training, and coordinate with families and group homes. Lead staff action plans, ensure HCBS waiver compliance, monitor quality indicators and billing, and coordinate transportation and safety procedures (e.g., fire drills, evacuations). Drive ongoing program improvement through staff supervision, incident reporting, and liaison activities with families and group homes; ensure program safety, compliance with OPWDD/OMH requirements, and effective data collection and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in related field
- Five years’ supervisory experience leading activities, writing plans, and/or supervising individuals with disabilities
- Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) certification per OPWDD
- Valid NY State Driver’s License
- CPR and First Aid certification
- SCIP training may be required
- Medication Administration Certification may be required
- American Sign Language may be required
- Ability to supervise staff and manage programs
