Job Summary
Direct Support Professional for a Day Program leading engaging workshops and activities to support individuals with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include coaching and mentoring participants through arts, music, games, cooking, reading, and other life-enrichment activities; providing direct care support and behavioral interventions as needed; timely documentation of daily progress; collaborating with a team to create a safe, supportive environment; and driving or assisting with transportation as required within a part-time Monday–Friday 8:30am–3:00pm shift (32.5 hrs/wk).
Required Qualifications
- 6 months or more experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities
- Highschool Diploma or GED
- Must be 21 years or older
- Valid driver’s license
- Comfortable providing personal care and behavioral support
- Ability to lift and transfer 50 lbs
- Proficient with basic computer skills and documenting care
