Job Summary
The Day Services Adult Supervisor will provide supervisory and administrative responsibilities on-site in the day-to-day provision of services at a single location, including facilitating social self-help, adaptive skills, and meaningful day activities to promote social development and independence. Responsibilities include monitoring and supervising individuals during program activities, transportation, and community engagement; serving as a member of the Communicare Treatment Team and participating in team meetings; and performing other duties as assigned under the supervision of the ID/DD Coordinator or designated supervisor. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, CPI certification or ability to obtain CPI training, reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and insurance, and successful background check. The role emphasizes collaboration to support individuals’ social development, daily living skills, community integration, and personal choice within a team-driven care environment at the Oxford, MS location.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a mental health, intellectual/developmental disabilities, or a related field
- CPI certified or able to complete CPI training and any other training required by DMH and Communicare
- Ability to perform the responsibilities of the job as listed above
- Ability to relate positively to individuals who are served through the Day Services Adult program and their families
- Must have transportation or access to transportation and be able to provide transportation to individuals being served. A current valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and an insurable driving record must be maintained continuously throughout employment
