Job Summary
Clean all interior and exterior areas of the warehouse and offices, including rooms, hallways, kitchens, and grounds. Operate machinery such as power pallet jacks, sweepers, and trash compactors while transporting refuse and damaged product. Sweep and scrub product bays on a rotating basis, emptying trash bins daily and maintaining dumpster areas. Address spills and breakages, recouping damages or disposing of items per food safety requirements. Perform light maintenance duties like replacing light bulbs, collecting recyclables, and checking freezers for leaks. Prepare reports documenting cleaning schedules, spillages, and product damage. Work in a fast-paced environment with little direct supervision, following GMPs and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or GED
- One (1) to three (3) years' experience in warehouse and office facility
- Food industry sanitation experience
- Must be able to read and write legibly
- Must be able to follow orders
- Must be able to work with little direct supervision
- Must possess basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Must be safety cautious
- Experience in operation of warehouse equipment to include: reach trucks, pallet jacks, sweeper, floor scrubber, bailer, hydraulic trash compactor
Desired Qualifications
- High school education or GED is preferred
- Food industry sanitation experience preferred
