Job Summary
Support and encourage individuals to increase their ability to be as independent as possible through regular meetings in residences, the community, or office settings. Provide ongoing support for community integration efforts, document individual progress, and assist in building a support network between the individual and the community. Administer medications, coordinate leisure and volunteer opportunities, and monitor health needs while driving individuals to medical appointments and activities. Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timely. Evening and weekend coverage is required; a valid driver's license and vehicle are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
- Evenings/ weekends needed
