Job Summary
As a Day Program Direct Support Professional, you will provide direct care and supervision to individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities in a day program setting. Your responsibilities include supporting individuals in developing life, social, and vocational skills, assisting with personal care needs, facilitating group activities, and ensuring the safety and well-being of participants. You will collaborate with team members to implement individualized support plans while promoting independence and positive engagement. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to meet physical demands.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a Family Care Safety Registry screening
- Ability to show strong work ethic, accept supervision and constructive feedback, as well as provide supervision and feedback
- Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility in scheduling
- Interpersonal skills to engage in appropriate interaction with individuals served, team, and people in the community and/or other agencies and entities
- Ability to lift over 50 lbs and sit/stand for prolonged periods
- Valid driver's license and proof of personal automotive insurance if transporting individuals in personal vehicle
- Ability to complete all agency required training and certifications within 90 days of hire
