Job Summary
Day Program Coordinator manages day habilitation, life-skills and community integration supports, ensuring DSP staff can deliver a safe, therapeutic environment. Responsibilities include modeling, training, and oversight for staff and individuals on caseload; capable of filling DSP duties as needed; coordinate scheduling and information gathering for annual planning, ensure timely data collection and monthly reviews, oversee medication management and MAR accuracy, supervise one-on-one interactions, maintain DMH-compliant records, oversee staff onboarding and new employee checklists, organize activity calendars and transportation logistics, and report DMH events. The role requires a four-year college degree or equivalent supervisory experience in direct care, at least a high school diploma, a valid Class E driver’s license, ability to lift over 50 lbs, and completion of designated trainings within 90 days. Work involves ongoing supervision for approximately 40 hours per week, with flexibility as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year college degree or four years relevant supervisory experience in a direct care setting
- Must have at least High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class E driver's license and ability to drive a van
- Ability to pass a DMH safety care registry screening
- Ability to lift over 50 lbs
- Ability to complete agency required training and certifications (CPR/First Aid, Level One Med Aid Certification, Abuse/Neglect training) within 90 days of hire
- Interpersonal skills to engage with individuals served, team, and community
