Job Summary
Facilitate dementia-friendly activities and care in an Adult Day Program, including music therapy, art projects, reminiscence groups, sensory stimulation, and guided movement; provide hands-on assistance with meals, toileting, mobility, and daily tasks while preserving dignity; use gentle validation and communication to support participants; collaborate with families and a multidisciplinary care team to create a calm, structured, safe, and joyful environment; require empathy, patience, and flexibility in group and one-on-one settings; must pass background check and health clearance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 18 years old
- Prior experience in dementia care, senior care, or adult day programs preferred
- CNA or HHA certification a plus, but not required
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift and assist individuals safely
- Background check, drug screen, and TB/health clearance
