Job Summary
Assist with personal hygiene and physical care for clients, providing companionship through meaningful conversation. Help transport clients to community outings and volunteer opportunities using company vehicles, while ensuring safe wheelchair assistance and overall well-being. Utilize proper lifting techniques to physically support individuals during daily activities. This role works alongside Recreational Therapists to foster independence and growth. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license held for at least one year, a high school diploma, and six months of experience in human services.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months experience required (technical, paid or volunteer)
- Proof of valid driver's license held for at least one year with good driving record
- Ability to attend orientation and training
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Six months experience in the human services field (technical, paid or volunteer)
- Valid, non-probationary driver's license with no restrictions or provisions
- Successful background check clearance
- Ability and willingness to safely bend and lift to assist clients
