Job Summary
Maintain a high level of cleanliness and orderliness in offices, hospitals, and other designated buildings by performing dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning high-touch points. Respond to emergencies inside and outside the building, manage property management needs, and assist staff with daily unique challenges. Collect and empty trash, stock supply rooms, and ensure janitorial closets remain organized. Communicate effectively with tenants, visitors, and operations personnel while reporting suspicious activity or repair deficiencies. Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear proper personal protective gear. Arrive on time and maintain possession of keys or access cards. Work within time constraints and cooperate with building security services as needed. This part-time day shift role reports to a Supervisor and offers flexible scheduling based on client needs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to support the mission of maintaining a high level of cleanliness and orderliness in offices, hospitals, and other designated buildings
- Must communicate effectively and cooperate consistently with tenants, visitors, and operations personnel
- Must arrive to the building on time and ready to perform required duties
- Must provide friendly and courteous assistance to tenants and visitors
- Must adhere to all proper safety guidelines
- Must maintain possession of keys/access cards provided for building access
- Must report if keys/access cards are known to be missing
- Must watch for and report any suspicious activity observed in the building or on the property premises
- Must cooperate with building security services as needed
- Must maintain clean/organized stocked janitorial closets at all times
- Must collect/empty trash and recyclable receptacles
- Must dust, vacuum, sweep, mop floors, sinks etc.
- Must clean high touch points such as glass and doors
- Must notify manager of deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Must stock and maintain supply rooms
- Must cooperate and communicate with the rest of the team
- Must work within time constraints
- Must follow all health and safety regulations
- Must always wear proper personal protective gear
