Job Summary
Day Porter role focused on janitorial responsibilities in a healthcare-adjacent facility. Responsibilities include routine cleaning (sweeping, mopping, dusting) of common areas, disinfecting high-touch surfaces, proper trash disposal including medical waste, replenishing soap/paper products, monitoring supplies, setting up rooms for meetings/events, coordinating with maintenance for cleanliness and safety, reporting maintenance needs, following safety protocols for cleaning chemicals, and performing other tasks as assigned by the customer or company. Qualifications emphasize prior janitorial/custodial experience (preferably healthcare), cleaning techniques, attention to detail, infection control knowledge, teamwork, physical stamina, and flexibility for day/evening shifts. Health screenings/background checks may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
- Understanding of infection control practices and maintaining a sanitary environment
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Physical stamina to perform lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Flexibility to work during both day and evening shifts as required
