Job Summary
Conduct routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and dusting of common areas, lobbies, waiting rooms, hallways, and restrooms. Disinfect high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, light switches, and elevator buttons. Empty and dispose of trash and medical waste according to established guidelines. Refill dispensers for soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify the supervisor when reordering is needed. Assist with setting up and cleaning meeting rooms and event spaces. Collaborate with maintenance teams to address cleanliness and safety issues. Report maintenance or repair needs to appropriate personnel. Follow all safety protocols for cleaning chemical handling. Work 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience, [preferably in a medical or healthcare setting]
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness standards
- Understanding of infection control practices and the importance of maintaining a sanitary environment
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Flexibility to work during both day and evening shifts as required
- Employees must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Employees must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Employees must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Employees must be able to be on their feet most of the day
