Job Summary
Full-Time Day Porter position at a large Roanoke-area manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness of restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and common areas; performing trash removal, floor care, surface cleaning, and restocking supplies; responding to spills and urgent cleaning needs; following safety, sanitation, and facility protocols; and communicating professionally with on-site staff and supervisors. Requires attention to detail, ability to work independently, dependability, and the ability to stay on feet for extended periods in a high-standard manufacturing environment. Benefits include health insurance stipend after 6–12 months, training and development, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement. Schedule is Monday–Friday with 40 hours per week (6:00 AM–3:00 PM or 7:00 AM–4:00 PM). Equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Previous commercial cleaning or porter experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Dependable, punctual, and consistent attendance required
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods and perform physical tasks
- Must be able to meet the expectations of a high-standard manufacturing environment
