Day Porter

A Day Porter maintains common areas of office buildings, apartment houses, or other commercial or institutional facilities in a clean, orderly condition. Responsibilities include spot cleaning lobby glass doors, polishing chrome on lobby doors, vacuuming elevator cabs, wiping cab doors/walls, inspecting exteriors and picking up trash, cleaning restrooms, emptying exterior trash receptacles, sweeping entrances and stairwells, removing debris from landscaped areas, reporting lights or solicitors to management, policing lobbies during high-traffic times, assisting the building engineer as directed, and upholding safety and dependability standards. Required competencies include consistent attendance, dependability, safety awareness, and the ability to work with management to complete tasks, with a focus on delivering a clean, welcoming environment.
