Job Summary
The OR Nurse plans and delivers patient care, collaborating with the surgical team to develop and implement individualized care plans. Responsibilities include performing pre-operative assessments, scrub functions, and circulating functions, as well as monitoring patients' vital signs and ensuring their safety throughout the surgical process. The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, current licensure as a Registered Nurse, and BLS certification. A minimum of 1 year of surgical nursing experience is necessary, with a BSN or MSN preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- At least 1 year of nursing experience in a surgical setting (scrubbing and circulating)
