Job Summary
Lead the Day & Employment Division by coordinating and supervising service delivery for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Provide leadership to Direct Support Professionals on Person Centered Planning and Positive Behavior Supports, including training staff, developing individualized goals, and reviewing data collection processes. Ensure quality assurance through site visits, team meetings, and proactive risk management for medical errors, injuries, and health issues while maintaining 24/7 on-call responsibilities. Monitor requests for maintenance, transportation, and IT, ensure budgetary responsibility for grocery budgets and petty cash, and track leave. Collaborate with families, guardians, and case managers to share information and promote community integration. Engage in program development to ensure services meet regulatory and accreditation requirements while fostering a high-performing organization aligned with county pillars.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five (5) years of human services or relevant experience
- Must be able to successfully complete JCDS training (Medication Administration, CPR, First Aid, MANDT, ANE, etc.) in order to maintain required certifications
- Candidate must be able to successfully complete criminal and motor vehicle background screenings, which includes KDADS required screenings and registry checks
- Valid driver's license
- Good driving record
Desired Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field
- Three (3) years experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities/developmental disabilities or other vulnerable population
- One (1) year leading, directing, supervising, or coordinating work of others
