Job Summary
Day Cleaner at Laurel Racetrack performing general cleaning duties during the day shift; responsibilities include cleaning, stocking, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning, toilet sanitation, wiping counters/mirrors, replenishing restroom supplies, trash removal, disinfecting surfaces, and carrying out special cleaning projects; requires lifting up to 50 pounds, ability to work in hot/cold/damp environments, reliable transportation, punctuality, and a team-player attitude; bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred; janitor/cleaning experience a plus; shift from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to follow instructions from supervisor and complete all tasks effectively.
- Must have a good personality, excellent cleaning skills, and be committed to providing results; TEAM PLAYER.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Must be able to carry, push and/or pull, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.
- Must be able to climb up and down a ladder.
- Ability to work in hot, cold, and/or damp environments.
- Reliable Transportation.
- Strong time management skills and proven history of workplace punctuality.
- Attention to detail and meticulous use of proper safety procedures.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-directed and motivated.
