Job Summary
As the Day Camp Director, you will be responsible for the successful operation of YMCA Camp Kenan's summer day camp program. This includes planning, organizing, and implementing a range of activities such as swimming, hiking, and arts & crafts. You will supervise and support day camp staff, ensuring safety and adherence to child abuse prevention policies while maintaining effective communication with staff and campers' parents. The role also involves administrative tasks including attendance tracking, scheduling staff meetings, and ensuring a clean, safe camp environment.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of and previous work experience in camping, group work, recreation and related fields
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Community CPR certification
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in program administration and staff supervision
- Responding to Emergencies or Advanced First Aid certification is preferred
Additional Requirements
