Job Summary
Seasonal Day Camp Counselor responsible for leading groups of campers (no more than 16) in daily activities such as Art, Archery, STEM, Cooking, Team Building, Theater, and Sports, and for safely driving a small 14-passenger bus to field trips and swimming twice weekly. The role includes supervision and active engagement with campers, ensuring a positive day-to-day experience and collaboration with other counselors. Must have experience with children, strong childcare skills, knowledge of childhood development, ability to manage large groups with kindness, and CPR/First Aid certification (MAT is a plus). Driving requirements include being over 21 with 5+ years of driving and a clean driving record.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a camp or childcare setting
- Strong childcare skills and knowledge of childhood development for Elementary age children
- Ability to manage a large group of children and handle behaviors in a kind and positive manner
- Ability to work with other counselors to provide an exceptional camp experience
- Current certification in CPR/First Aid and MAT ideal - training provided if not held
- Candidates MUST meet our driving requirements: over 21, driving for 5+ years, clean driving record
