Job Summary
The Day Camp Behavior Specialist will counsel campers with personal, behavioral, and psychological issues while working directly with students one-on-one and during camp sessions. Key responsibilities include observing and modeling positive behavioral interventions, documenting camper interactions, maintaining case files, and supporting staff and parents in addressing behavioral concerns. A bachelor's degree in social work or a related field nearing completion is required, along with excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to inclusion.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or other related field nearing completion
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in School Social Work may be advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassion and empathy for children
- Good relationships with relevant social services
- Previous experience working with diverse populations
- Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds
